Itinerary:
DAY 1: Ho Chi Minh City — Arrival and City Tour 1/2 day (dinner)
Arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, then transfer by car with tour guide for check-in at hotel.
In the afternoon, take a short sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh City to visit the War Crime Museum, Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market.
NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL: A French priest named Colombert started constructing this famous catherdral on October 7, 1877. The architectural plan was based on a French design and was executed under the instructions of a renowned French engineer, Baurad. All constructioon materials were imported from France. The construction cost a total of 2,500,000 francs. Notre Dame was christened “Basilica” on December 7 and 8, 1959, following the approval of The Holy See of the Vatican.
Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 2: Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Breakfast at hotel, then depart for Vung Tau, visiting sites enroute.
Visit Shrine of Fatima at Binh Trieu Cathedral.
Fatima Binh Trieu Church, a former pilgrimage center by the Vietnamese, is where the Virgin Mary’s image appeared more than 90 years ago. Every year, on May 13th, at 12:00 noon, a commemoration mass is held, followed by a ceremonial procession, to pray and offer good wishes and health.
Arrive in Vung Tau.
Lunch at a local restaurant before check-in at hotel. Free time to swim and shop in the afternoon.
Visit White Palace of Bao Dai, the last king of Vietnam. Proceed to the biggest statue of Christ the Saviour.
Built in year 1974, the statue stands 32 meters high, on a 4-meter high platform, for a total monument height of 36 meters. The statue’s two outstretched arms span 18.3 meters. A 133-step staircase inside the statue allows tourists some time for contemplation.
Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at a hotel in Vung Tau.
DAY 3: Vung Tau / Cu Chi / Ho Chi Minh City (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
After breakfast at the hotel, return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Proceed to the Cu Chi underground tunnels.
The Cu Chi Tunnels were build by the Vietnamese, and played an important role in the Teo Wars of resistance against the old andnew colonial powers (French and American). Cu Chi was an underground village with its abyss of hidden tunnels, which have a combined length of more than 200 kilometers.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City for late-minute shopping.
Dinner on a BezNghe Cruise on Saigon River. Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 4: Ho Chi Minh City / Departure (breakfast)
Breakfast in hotel. Free time for leisure, until transfer to airport.
